Dr. Fredrick L. Fairley Sr.
Senior Pastor
Rev. Dr. Fredrick L. Fairley, Sr. continues a rich legacy of Christian Leadership as a fourth-generation Gospel preacher and Pastor. The preaching of Dr. Fairley has been described as biblical in its content, expositional in its form, and dynamic in its presentation!
He is the oldest of four children born to Dr. and Mrs. Robert Fairley. He was born in East Palo Alto, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley, and raised in San Bernardino, California.
Dr. Fairley has shared the Word of God in England, Israel, Jamaica, and the United States. He takes seriously the Apostle Paul’s Admonition to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:2, “preach the Word.”
His academic work began at San Jose Bible College. It continued through Faith Theological Seminary, Oxford University, and Phoenix University of Theology, where he was recognized and awarded for his exegetical research.
He has served as a professor at Southwest School of Theology, an extension of Golden Gate Theological Seminary. He has also taught at the Issachar Conference and the “How Shall They Hear Preaching Conference.” He has the unique distinction of being a two-time contributor in Oxford Sermons Volume III and IV.
As the senior Pastor of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church, His preaching and leadership support a vibrant ministry that seeks to Exalt the Savior, Explain the Scripture, and Equip the Saints.
Dr. Fairley is Blessed to be married to the former Angela Marie McDonald of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; together, they are the proud parents of 5.
Dr. Fairley’s goal in the faith and family is to bring good to others and glory to God.

Rev. Rycklon Stephens, Sr.
Associate Ministry
Rev. Rycklon Stephens Sr.'s faith journey began when he was baptized at 15. Rev. Stephens is a dedicated servant of God, a loving husband, and a proud father to his son and daughter.
Rev. Rycklon was baptized at age 15 and became a Deacon at Capernaum Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York, where he developed his passion for preaching, speaking, and motivating people. In September 2019, he was licensed as a Minister at St. John Missionary Baptist Church by Reverend Dr. Ricky Williams,
Rev. Stephens earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Buffalo in New York. After graduation, he pursued his passion for professional wrestling, joining WWE after 2007.
He currently owns a personal training business that works with clients ages 8-80.
Rev. Rycklon was baptized at age 15 and became a Deacon at Capernaum Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York, where he developed his passion for preaching, speaking, and motivating people. Jeffery Fines
Associate Ministry
Rev. Jeffery Fines came to Christ at the early age of 8 and was baptized (a request he made of his mother) at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Oakland under the pastorate of the late Rev. S. M. Metters, Sr.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from U.C. Berkeley which he put to good use in various positions in Contract Management with the General Services Administration (federal government agency). He attended UC Berkeley and UC Santa Cruz of which he put to good use. Rev. Fines received his certification in the ministry and was ordained during his tenure with Mount Pleasant MBC in Fresno CA.
Rev. Fines has served in various leadership capacities as an associate minister, director of youth ministry, vacation bible school director, Sunday School and Bible Studies teacher, at the following churches: Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church (Fresno), Rosehill Missionary Baptist Church (Seattle), Rhema Word (San Francisco) and Center of Hope Community Church (Oakland) Bay Cities Bible institute. Rev. Fines also served as visiting minister while the Church of the Good Shepherd conducted a search for its next pastor.
